Femi Adeyinka

Associate

Reviews contracts and writes the policies owners hand to their first employees.

Femi reads most of the contracts that come through the firm’s outside general counsel clients: leases, vendor agreements, customer terms, the contractor agreement someone found online and wants to reuse. He also writes employment policies for owners hiring their first few people, from the offer letter to the handbook.

Before law school he ran operations for a food distributor in East Austin, so he tends to ask what a contract means for the loading dock as well as the ledger.

How Femi works

Femi returns a reviewed contract with a short cover note: the three things he would change, the one he would refuse, and what is fine as written.

For a handbook, he starts with how the business actually runs, then writes the policy to match it.
